StartFragment Let me guess, you're probably reading this right now because you're trying to lose weight and you do way too much cardio? I'm right, huh? Well sorry to break it to you, but a lot of cardio doesn't equal constant weight lose...like at all! The treadmill, elliptical, stair master, you name it , can all get a little out of hand when you do it too much. Anything over an hour of cardio a day is only causing you to lose muscle. Staying on a treadmill for hours at a time can actually slow down the metabolism and you'll begin having a tough time burning fat (losing weight). The more cardio that you continue to do, the less affective it will be as time goes on. In fact if you want to build muscle while doing cardio, walking on incline is a great start. Walking on incline is equivalent to walking on an uphill surface, this helps to build muscle while stretching the calves. The great thing about incline is that you can switch the levels to what's suitable for you. So you don't get accustomed to one level of incline, try to switch it up during your whole cardio session.
Another way to implement some muscle gaining into your cardio is to exercise on the track! Doing sprints is a great way to build your glutes (that booty!) and burn fat to show those abs. Try to do workouts such as, sprinting 100m, walking, then sprinting again and so on. Don't be a cardio queen, lets start building that muscle. If you're currently doing too much cardio, shoot me a comment and I will gladly help you with what other workouts you can start giving a try instead! EndFragment
